One of my rarities - a monochromatic in sepia. There is a complete story in this painting...two well dressed gentlemen pondering the appearance of the strangest and biggest hat check they have ever encountered! I love the loose background that echos an old brasserie and the expressions on the men and the fantastic elephant. A treasure!
