White Horse Tavern
Painted to resemble an antique tavern sign, this painting is full of deconstructed edges and nicks and bumps.
You may know that The White Horse Tavern in Rhode Island is the nation's oldest bar....followed by the one in New York (also quite old) and then there are the numerable ones across Europe.
This sign is created purely from my imagination. I intentionally painted the buildings and horse in a primitive style.
Gorgeous in a dining room or great room, this painting exudes "history".
36" x 48" oil on canvas
